Social Gossip on Hutchinson Paredes and New York Society Turmoil

Chicago society gossip centers on Florence Celeste Hutchinson Paredes dodging a $35.50 suit at the Woman's Athletic Club. The tale links her to Judge John Hutchinson and a past fortune, with depu- ties, a lawyer, and a policeman scouring Astor Street for her. The piece also size-ups Sunday social customs in New York, Florence Rudini of Rome, and a gala season in Palm Beach with elite attendees and lavish gowns marking a shift in fashionable wraps and society entertainment.
