May Combine the Two Local Head 18 Favored

Business leaders in Washington protest the selection of Edgar S Martin of Columbus Ohio as director of the playgrounds and bathing beach. They argue Washington candidates were ignored and seek a law uniting playgrounds with the bathing beach under one department. A committee may appeal to commissioners while backing Mr Hudson or another candidate. Martin is expected to arrive July 1 and may also head the Boy Scouts in addition to the playgrounds.
