The death of his banker father Adrian Iselin worsened his condition. doctors say he is living quietly and will travel to Germany for baths when able.
In dense fog on Lake Huron, the steel freighters Etruria and Amaga Stones collided ten miles off Presque Isle. The Etruria sank within minutes after being struck on the starboard side. crew escaped with their lives. Amaga Stones, laden with iron ore, escaped serious damage. The Etruria, built at Bay City in 1860, registered 4,653 tons, owned by Hawgoods of Cleveland, valued at $240,000. The Amaga Stones, 6,282 tons, bound from Duluth to Lake Erie with ore, went on.

Watertown June 18 Mrs Ches ter Doney age forty sacrificed her life to save her three year old son who had knocked an oil can and lit it by stepping on a match. The woman was severely burned and died within hours. The house was consumed by flames.
