Woolen Case Is Appealed In Woolen Profiteering
New York June 16 The Supreme Court is asked to decide if worh is clothing under the Lever act Judge Hand granted a writ of error to the American Woolen Companies of New York and Massachusetts and William M Wood president in a case charging profiteering in bolts of cloth The writ follows an order by Federal Judge Mack quashing indictments on the ground cloth was not wearing apparel The writ carries the case to the high court

Damaged Carriage Awarded Against Potomac Electric Power
The United States was awarded 176 dollars in damages yesterday by Justice Stafford in the District Supreme Court against Potomac Electric Power Company. The award covers expenses to repair the carriage used by Secretary Carter Glass in February 1919 after a collision with the company’s automobile. The case, originating in municipal court, was heard on appeal in the District Supreme Court.
