Wall Street declines widen amid heavy selling
New York June 12 The market registered a third week of sharp losses with prices down from last week’s highs as liquidation and short selling increased. Volume rose while rallies were met by ample stock supplies and most large issues fell to near day lows. Only a few names held steady as Mexican Petroleum lumbered lower and industrials and rail stocks slipped, with notable pressure in General Motors and Texas Oil amid broader declines.
