A navy aeroplane piloted by Lieut A A Cunningham with Mechanician Greene was struck by a life bullet south of Annapolis at 1500 feet. In Charleston West Virginia on June 12 Frank Carter a 16 year old hunchback of Harper fought George Miller in a duel using ground poker blades. Carter arrived with two pokers one given to Miller. Both boys were wounded Miller died from a heart thrust Carter fled aided by seconds but later bound up by companions who apologized.
