At the Eighth district Republican convention in Creston Iowa on June train Hepburn was renominated by acclamation. Whitman Osgood alleges he was induced to invest $900 in a Colombian mining venture by promotor Whitman Osgood and that the bank drafts he received proved worthless after the Bogota bank failed. Alexander Elliott Dies Former GPO Official

Alexander Elliott, longtime superintendent of the stereotyping and electrotyping department at the Government Printing Office, died at 6 a.m. yesterday at 508 I Street NW after battling pneumonia.
