War Records To Be Offered In Edger Morris Trial
Records of the War Department will be admitted as evidence as Edger Morris faces Albemarle county court in Standardsville Virginia tomorrow. Morris is accused of entering the court room on March 29 and shooting Magistrate Binford, killing him. Sullivan claims he acted under persecution and was unaccountable at the time. He had been fined 310 and costs for carrying concealed weapons. Government records may show he failed the mentality test though met other physical requirements. After the shooting he fled to Blue Ridge Mountains, later tramping to Cattlettsburg Kentucky and being arrested upon return to Elkins West Virginia.
