Engine plunges into river near Jer on Pennishania line
An express locomotive from St Louis to Pennishania Railroad jumped a bridge over Kendack River near Jer today. An engineer and a fireman leaped into the Hackensack River and were not injured though the baggage car and derailment caused the train to partially overturn.
