Four Charts Prize Contest Begins Next Week

A $600 prize series presents four charts with identical numbers rearranged each week. The first chart appears now, and three more on June 6, 13, and 20. Solve each chart promptly and keep copies until the end. A blank accompanying the fourth chart collects the four charts and the total score. Only one solution per chart per contestant.

Adjoining chart puzzle seeks greatest sum in circles

The first section begins at 98 and ends at 73 across columns. It contains five circles, then four, then eight, then four, and so on totaling 2910 when added. The aim is to form the chain of circles to maximize the grand total, with any admissible combinations under the given rules.

Unclear Ties Prompt For Enlarged Chart In Prize Case

The text describes tie handling for four charts where ties trigger an enlarged chart drawn with circles across the chart from left to right and back to the left column. If no ties occur, prizes are awarded after original series verification. If the enlarged chart is needed to resolve ties, further procedure is implied but not fully detailed.

Contest Charts Offered With Ten Prints Per Book

Books of each chart in enlarged paper may be secured for 10 cents or mailed for 12 cents. Charts will be reproduced after first appearance until closing. All entrants must follow rules in larger announcements regarding prize awards and contest rules.
