Ex Wife and Sons Sue Hotel Man Over Imperial Apt House
Hugh J Phillips who runs the George Washington Inn is sued by his ex wife Mrs Sidney H Phillips and their three sons for an accounting of the Imperial Apartment House Company. They allege a distribution agreement left them with a right to one third of income and seek a receiver as he has not paid. They contend a $47.4 thousand note secured by a deed of trust may force a public sale and that Phillips Jr should be held liable, not the company. Attorneys Wheatt and May appeared for the plaintiffs.

Glass in Soft Drink Arrest Looms for Bottler
Bits of broken glass found in bottled soft drinks from a Washington bottling concern prompted a food inspector to prepare a warrant for arrest of the manufacturer. Health officials are inspecting bottles and utensils at soft drink fountains after a young woman swallowed glass thinking it was ice.
