Wireless Open Direct to Nauen Opens Mail Moves
For the first time since entering the war uncensored messages were sent directly to Germany via the Nauen wireless station. The Navy reports naval policy will allow commercial messages to relieve cable strain and that the system will be tested before full adoption. Transmission is limited by atmospheric conditions to 3 or 4 hours daily, with about 3,000 to 4,000 words per session, expected to rise as autumn approaches.
