U S Officials Laud Dairy Inspection Bulletin
The Department of Agriculture bulletin credits Dr. C Woodward District health officer for the score card dairy inspection system. Washington leads in protecting the public with high farm and plant cleanliness scores, 169 cities use the system, and 1907 farm scores averaged 4.5 from 10 possible points. The bulletin, written by Dr. George M. Whitaker, outlines methods to keep dairies clean and prevent milkborne disease. It notes the system originated January 1904 and is officially endorsed by the Official Dairy Inspectors’ Association. Also corrects a misstatement about Mrs. Thomas T.
