Allied Advance Breaks German Line North of Chateau Thierry
Allied forces including French American Italian and British troops drive the German line back from Chateau Thierry toward Rheims and Marne. The capture of Brasles and high ground north of the Marne creates a strong bridgehead as American and French units pierce enemy positions and take many prisoners and guns. Aviators scout and harass retreating troops while Indian scouts aid Pershing’s forces in the Marne region.
