Professor Henry, the official weather forecaster, said last night that Washington may see north to northeast winds today, making for a cooler day. Readings showed a high near 98 degrees with 67 degrees early morning, and July not yet a record hot month. If winds shift east, temperatures may drop but humidity will rise, making it feel sticky and uncomfortable. The hub often hotter than the capital, with notable heat differences noted.
