Testator and Heir In Unique Will Spark Race Riot Fears

Commonwealth's attorney reported Col Gerrard called the threat to attack Jackson's negro friends at the jail a provocation linked to the Brownsville affair. Capt Horn would lead an investigation as soldiers were questioned at the fort. The incident began on a suburb trolley car after a July fight over the Jeffries Johnson bout left Private Scott fatally wounded. Scott's condition improved at a Washington fort hospital, while Jackson and five companions were jailed for assault and disorderly conduct.
