Hecht Company Plans Expansion and Acquires Property

The Hecht Company, via Shannan & Lachs, has acquired the Shubert Garrick Theater and Federal office building at Seventh and F streets NW, in a deal reportedly over a quarter of a million dollars. The move aligns with expansion plans, envisions a modern fireproof building, and the current tenants will have time to relocate. The sale should not disrupt Shubert Garrick shows, and the firm expects Seventh Street frontage of 225 feet and F Street frontage of 125 feet, boosting Washington’s shopping center.
