Mission plea urges churches to spread the story abroad
Rev James O Tufinghast of Pennsylvania told the Universalist Young Peoples Union that churches must be missionary or perish. He urged broader religious education and broader missions, domestic and foreign, noting many fear or misunderstand missions while foreign born residents rise in Connecticut and elsewhere. He warned against sects turning inward and stressed learning about mission work to reach neighbors and nations.
