Representative James A Lindbergh of Minnesota pressed for an immediate investigation into Democratic members of the banking and currency committee after alleging denial of access to a committee room. Glass issued a statement defending partisan legislation and criticizing Republican critics, while Democratic member Bulkley condemned minority members Smith and Platt for participating in executive-session criticism of the currency bill.
