Snow and sun sprites in pageant and society satire
Social and personal notes describe Frances Alexander and Miss Barclay in Snow and sun sprite costumes with fur hoods and yellow gauze as they dance under a gauze film. Miley Electra Havemeyer plays a fiery wife in a Christmas chime while a lively quartet entertains. The Farce Bamboozling is noted, and opinions on the play Her Grace the Reformer discuss socialist themes with titled peers such as the Countess of Warwick and Duchess of Sutherland. A Washington reception paints a portrait of a society sponsor guiding a fashionably anxious young woman into aristocratic spectacle.
