Melted paraffin the real basis of famous French remedy
Editor Post notes that the so called ambrise remedy used in French hospitals is essentially melted paraffin. A simple method uses melted paraffin on the hand to treat chapped hands burns and abrasions without bandaging. Ordinary paraffin may yield similar results until ambrise supplies arrive, with soldiers and field men benefiting from small candles for drops of melted paraffin on affected parts. The core remedy is paraffin, medicated or not.
