Fire devastates Mahoning County infirmary men’s building
A sheet of flame from an unknown origin swept through the Mahoning County infirmary in Canfield Ohio this afternoon. Fifteen inmates suffered burn injuries varying in severity as the men tried to battle the blaze at the foot of a stairway. They crawled to safety and were taken to infirmary hospital. The fire caused about 20000 dollars in losses. The ten year old building was regarded as one of the finest infirmary structures in the state. There are twenty four inmates at the institution.
