Fire bug arrest tied to stepmother dispute in Cincinnati
Cincinnati, Jan 17. Capitalist C C Breuer was arrested on a warrant by Deputy State Fire Marshal Ambrose on an attempted arson to dynamite the Franklin Building. The charge stems from a three year feud with his second wife and two daughters over living arrangements after Juvenile Court ordered Breuer to support them. The building, later vacated, housed various leases and income from its frontals was to be set aside for the daughters. A candle, kerosene, dynamite, and a fuse were found in a vacant room, linking Breuer to the attempt, with investigation noting a man entering the building last night. State fire marshal swore out the arrest following the evidence.
