Rumors Of Large Donations To Catholic University Stir Washington
A sensational set of rumors claims J P Morgan donated 10000 to the Catholic University of America and may give more or aid by buying the Woodley tract. Cardinal Gibbons and Mgr O Connell weighed in with cautious comments. A Cabinet meeting yielded little, though post office appointments were discussed and Taft met British officer Lieut Col H G Burrowes.

Committee chief John B. Larner defends a circular amphitheater on the ellipse south of the White House to prevent property damage at Lafayette Square.
