Weekly Prayer Meet by Women's Interdenominational Union
The Woman's Interdenominational Union held daily prayer meetings at Metropolitan Memorial Methodist Church during the first week of the year despite inclement weather. Leaders from Methodist, Congregational, Presbyterian, Christian, and Baptist churches spoke on topics from the visible church to foreign missions. Officers include President Jesse W. Robinson, Secretary Louisa S Weightman, and Treasurer O 8B Brown. They endorsed compulsory education, a juvenile court, and admittance of Indian Territory to statehood with current liquor laws. A mass meeting on January 16 will cover Mormonism and the endowment house secrets, led by Mrs Maria Weed.
