Winning Over the Orient by Brockman Address
Fletcher S Brockman national secretary of the YMCA in China Korea and Hongkong told Washington association members that Buddhism and Brahmanism are nearly dead in the East and that missionaries have modernism and paganism to contend with. He cited changes in China education and 16000 high class Chinese students in Tokyo praising American teaching methods and predicted returning students will spread Christian seeds. Vanity sown by the missionaries was referenced as Sleman Jr was re elected president at a Twenty four hour a day Club dinner.
