Round-Up on Olympic Prospects and Postwar Athletics
The Round-Up suggests revival of the Olympic Games in 1920 may move beyond talk as European nations face heavy setbacks from war losses. The United States could lead in athletics with fewer wartime handicaps, while Sweden and Greece express interest in hosting the postwar Games. Baseball notes question how army life will affect players’ form, with trainer Fred Hart arguing servicemen will be fitter and better conditioned for base running and fielding.
