Marbury Enters Maryland Senate Race Following Wilson

William L. Marbury of Baltimore declared tonight his candidacy for the long term United States Senate seat to succeed John Walter Smith. Atlanta February 25 Mrs J A Applebaum jailed in Atlanta as the grand jury weighs the death of her husband Chicago salesman J A Applebaum who was shot in a local hotel. Inquest heard she claimed a quarrel and that he demanded jewels with a gun pressed to her chest saying she had five minutes to live. Reports say both homicide and suicide theories circulate as investigators seek motive and truth.

New York February 4. Abraham Steinberg a walking delegate was killed over a contract dispute feared to ruin middlemen. Harry Wagner confessed to the police that he killed Steinberg for fifty dollars amid pressure from buttonhole contractors. Wagner named Abraham Fialkoff and others as conspirators. Alfred I. du Pont, vice president of the Du Pont Powder Company, told a Delaware legislature committee he fears his 13 year old son may bring disgrace to his name. He pleaded for a bill to rename the lad, stating I am ashamed to say it is the reason. The father argued the measure should be passed by the legislature.

Drunken man nearly embalmed after false grave reveal

Self-Destructs With Homemade Lance In Philadelphia

Karl Schneyder, a 38 South Eleventh Street instrument maker, died by his own hand using a steel lance embedded in his heart while wearing a stethoscope. A note, read by investigators, said I am feeling badly and to notify Mia Schneyder. Married 25 years, his wife found the body along with a friend. He had never been away from home overnight, and his neuritis had worsened his mood. The coroner investigated as the family mourned.
