Atlanta February 12 Presigen Harvie Jordan of the Southern Cotton Association announced an agreement with an Eastern syndicate led by KE. R. Thomas to buy 60 000 bales of middling cotton from Southern planters at a minimum 18 cents a pound. Deliveries to interior port points by July 1 1966, with option to cover August and September crops at market prices not below the minimum. The plan does not affect holders demanding 15 cents now. New York bankers will finance fully. Option contracts will be sent to growers upon request.
