Army engineers favor developing Great Falls as government property to supply Washington with power. A dam 110 feet high and 1,000 feet long would create 8,000 to 19,900 horsepower at low flow and up to 30,000 horsepower at peak. A steam auxiliary may run in low water. Estimated cost ten million dollars, with light to the National Capital and possible streetcar use.
