Gold Imports Likely as War Impacts Market

New York December 2 The stock market moved in response to Foreign war pressures with the administration’s protests to England halting price advances. Trading showed irregularity with limited gains in few issues, declines in Rock Island bonds, and a sharp drop in exchange with London to the lowest level in sixteen months. Time money remained largely unchanged though short term loans were seen. Interior banks pulled from mercantile paper briefly, while railroad statements for November softened and government bonds edged higher on gains.
