Washington Insurance Chief Seeks Low Fire Rates Now

Superintendent Charles F. Nesbit states Washington should have the nation’s lowest fire insurance rates based on 30 years of risk statistics. He notes Washington’s current rate as 15 cents on brick dwellings and 25 cents on contents, compares with Baltimore Pittsburgh Hartford and Roseton, and cites Philadelphia New York and Rhode Island to show regional variations.
