Hospital expansion drive aims to fund new building
At the Columbia Hospital for Women quarterly meeting Gen Wilson Cal Truesdel and Cal Runadell were elected committees to urge Congress to provide 300000 for a new hospital and expansion of the nurses home on the current site. The plan envisions sections of new buildings rising as old portions are torn down. The board seeks 150000 next fiscal year and notes the hospital now serves 37 pay patients, 58 free patients, and 30 infants. The effort is supported by the board of charities and the District Commissioners.
