Woman Burned To Death In Kitchen Pipe Accident
An elderly woman Katherine Myers of 165 Ninth Street Southeast died after her dress caught fire while lighting a pipe over a kitchen range. Police Sergeant Ryan and Park Police R. E. Jones sustained burns while attempting to rescue. Ambulance from Casualty Hospital arrived but she could not be saved. Mrs Myers died at 8 pm yesterday.
