Industrial Lead Poisoning Deaths Across Trades
A bulletin by Charles P. Neill reviews three investigations into occupational lead poisoning. European and U.S. studies show high mortality in painters, white lead workers, printers, and related trades, with New York reporting six to ten deaths in 1909 and 1910 across multiple occupations. England, France, and Germany push reforms and inspections to curb fatalities. U.S. private regulations also reduce deaths.
