In Kent Ohio on December 11 a family party of five fell through the frozen surface of Sperry Brook, a tributary of the Cuyahoga River near Munroe Falls. Frenk Cormany aged 32 died alongside children Helen 9 Florence 7 and Mabel 4 and Russell 18, the brother. The mother and a 3 year old stayed behind. The bodies were recovered.

Leveah Dak Dec 11 MacKenzie son of Murdo MacKenzie cattleman of Trinidad was shot in a saloon by Bud Stevens now held for murder. Stevens, formerly employed at Matador Land and Cattle Company, fired as MacKenzie entered the doorway. MacKenzie died shortly after. Stevens arrested by Deputy Peperson and jailed at Selby.
Dynamite damaged the residence of Harry Brandell city editor of the St Louis Star and damaged the Granit building office of a weekly publication. A man was seen fleeing. Police suspect an attempt to wreck the weekly after criticism of public figures. No injuries reported.
The Essex grand jury hears Virginia Wardlaw aunt of Mrs Grey Snead charged with murder in the death of her niece Miss Wardlaw. Recorder Nott holds her for the grand jury after a tense inquest where witnesses, including Drs Kunz and McKenzie, testified the victim may have died in a bathtub, with signs of life found. the old woman revealed her face briefly under a veil amid courtroom pressure.
