Manifesto outlines land indemnity and reform plans
The document calls for fixing land indemnities via a federal tax office with a 50 million peso loan and bond issues to fund expropriation payments. It demands electoral vote protection, abolition of the death penalty, women’s suffrage within municipal bounds, and expanded public instruction. It also disavows the current executive, state governors, and Congress members backing clandestine action, warning that the upcoming popular election in 16 days will not be recognized by movement leaders.

Langhorne resigns Petworth Baptist for Berwyn post
The Rev F Paul Langhorne yesterday presented his resignation to the Petworth Baptist congregation to take effect January 1. He will become pastor of the First Baptist Church of Berwyn, a Chicago suburb, after receiving the call three weeks ago. Langhorne led Petworth from under 100 to over 400 members and oversaw girls and boys clubs and auxiliaries since arriving eight years ago. The new Seventh and Randolph Street church building, valued at over 100000 dollars, was dedicated last June. He says the church is now large and strong enough to change pastors.
