Letter stirs jurors in heavy patent court trial
A December 1606 letter from Ned W. Barton to John A. Heany mentioning patent applications and the phrase I hope we'll all be wearing diamonds soon was read in the Heany Everding criminal court case. The government presented stenographic evidence and questioned file dating, suggesting substitutions in nineteen pages of specifications. Prosecutors expect to finish their case soon with defense evidence to follow within a week.
