Boy Cleared by Jury Of Killing Stepfather
In Hagerstown Maryland on December 8 14 year old Richard Wilson was acquitted of manslaughter after a jury ruled the shooting of his stepfather Harry Geaslin on October 31 was in self defense. Geaslin allegedly abused the boy and his mother and drew a revolver before the fatal shot. The defense rested on the claim of self defense with Geaslin threatening the mother and son before the shooting. A quick five minute deliberation produced the acquittal.
