Rockville Fair Opens With Horse Show and Poultry Exhibits

The Rockville Fair in Montgomery County began its four day run despite rain. The horse show meets standard, with judges to assess entries tomorrow. Cattle sheep and hog exhibits are crowded and some animals were turned away for space. Poultry displays emphasize quality over quantity with reduced entry fees for county residents to boost home production. The program also includes a busy racing schedule and a village of farm goods, implements, and crafts. Finance officials and club members oversee events as judges and marshals coordinate exhibits. In a separate note, two teens escaped from Salisbury lockup after a jailbreak aided by friends.
