Army mobile printing plant trucks reach Camp Humphreys

Hundreds of Washingtonians watched four giant army trucks of the American Expeditionary Forces arrive en route to Camp Humphreys. The unit sailed from St Nazaire on the Liberty and left New York last Saturday, delayed by bad roads. The trucks carry a linotype, two Kelly presses, a machine shop, and a power unit able to produce small newspapers on demand. Lieutenant Jenkins leads the crew, which includes five volunteers to drive to Camp Humphreys. The AEF mobile printing unit, part of a 30-truck fleet, previously printed programs for Interallied games in Paris and rifle matches at Le Mans, France, and produced maps for frontline operations.
