Changes in the Bible Report Clears Mosaic Authorship

The Pontifical commission appointed by Pope Pius X reports that Moses is the indisputable author of the Pentateuch but allows that over ages some modifications may have been introduced. It suggests Moses may have compiled the text from earlier writings or traditions under divine inspiration and with others penning parts under his guidance. The Pope approves the report and translations are circulating in the United States.
