St Luke's Order Adjourns Final Session in Washington
The Independent Order of St Luke closed its thirty seventh annual meeting at Vermont Avenue Baptist Church after three days of sessions. More than 600 delegates from twelve states attended. Mrs Maggie L Walker of Richmond Va led the organization, highly regarded as progressive. The next convention will be in Richmond Va, the order's headquarters.
