Four Die in Wreck on Pennsylvania Train Near Fort Wayne
Fort Wayne Ind Aug 13 four persons killed and about 30 injured when the Pennsylvania 1 hour train from Chicago to New York derailed on a switch near the western outskirts of Fort Wayne. Engines piled up and cars overturned. Injured were rushed to hospitals. several in critical condition. Police, tre department, and ambulances aided the scene. Among the dead and injured were Edward Cohn New York City and James E Sullivan New York City head of the Amateur Athletic Union. Witnesses said the train traveled at high speed over a temporary switch before leaving the rails. The accident follows a pattern of prior Pennsylvanian wrecks in recent years.
