Polish Armies Advance and Armistice Talks Near Amid War Turmoil

Warsaw reports a women’s battalion aiding defense of Vilna and anti aircraft troops used near Warsaw as Bolshevik strikes intensify. Cavalry units drawn from former Cossacks contend with Bolshevik forces near Brest Litovsk under Polish General Balachowicz. Armistice negotiators have not communicated since midnight Friday after crossing no man’s land toward Soviet envoys. A bridge fire near Kobryn delayed the delegation, with Polish authorities noting possible coals from prior fighting rather than Bolshevik action.
