Americans Face Loss Of Millions Under Mexican Agrarian Law
More than a thousand Americans fear losses of millions in investments under Sonora Mexico's new agrarian law. American companies filed complaints with the State Department as representations are prepared to oppose the law with the Carranza government. The law would have the state fund lands expropriated with agrarian bonds redeemable later, despite bonds lacking clear value since 1913. Disputes would be decided by the governor.
