Blood evidence presented in Frank trial in Georgia
In Atlanta on July 1 the state produced new evidence in Leo M. Frank's trial for the murder of 14-year-old Mary Phagan. Witness R P Barrett described blood spots on the factory floor where the girl worked and hair found on a lathe handle. He said the blood spot appeared the day after the body was found and that attempts were made to cover it with a white substance. Barrett testified the crime occurred in the metal room. Manteen Stover testified she visited Frank's office for pay on a Saturday and waited five minutes, contradicting Frank's claim of his office being occupied. Mrs. G W Jefferson supported Barrett's account of finding the blood spots.

The 212 foot reptile moved down the aisle as he preached. He met it with a heel, ending its life, then returned to finish the sermon while attendees later congratulated him on his calm conduct.
