Chiles Edgard Grant, a Black man, was convicted of murder in the first degree by a jury in Criminal Court No 2. The crime occurred in Elgia Barnes alley between 31st and Tenth streets northwest on December 1. The woman died in January. Grant claimed self defense.

Boy suffers dislocated shoulder after horse ride on busy street
