Murder of Fitzgerald at Curve West Virginia by discharged Italian workers
J H Fitzgerald of Mitagerald Millett was killed near Curve WV while supervising grading for the Jen Water Railroad. After he discharged several Italian laborers about eight o clock, assailants shot him as he stood at a shack, then stabbed him with knives and dirks. The attackers fled to the woods and a posse pursued. A number of Italians have been taken in custody, but authorities believe not all involved have been captured.
