Faith Chapel Singers Held Together by Organist

Faith Chapel nine member choir relies on organist Estelle Foster. The small church on Four-and-a-Half Street, founded 1891 as a mission of New York Avenue Presbyterian, has grown since revival with a trained organist and a dedicated Christian Endeavor group. Foster, a trained musician, has led the music since the chapel began services in the late 19th century, supported by volunteers and occasional aid from the parent church. The choir stages regular "evenings with the choir" programs, and leadership has passed through several teachers, with Foster remaining a constant driving force.
